If you do a lot of work with documents from other people, you may have a need to remove text boxes in those documents. If there are only one or two text boxes in the document, it is not that difficult to select them and delete them. What if there are 30, 40, or more text boxes, though? Deleting them individually can quickly get tedious.

The document text, minus the text boxes, is now in the new document. The obvious drawback to this approach is that the other formatting of the original document is also lost, and you must reformat the entire document. (I told you this was a brute force method.)

You should realize that this macro removes all of the text boxes and their contents. In other words, if a text box is used for placement of text, then the text in that text box is deleted along with the text box itself.

When this macro is done, you can do a search for "Textbox start" and you will be at the beginning of text that used to be in the text boxes that are now gone from your document. You can then edit the text so that it appears as you want.

Apart from counting words and characters, our online editor can help you to improve word choice and writing style, and, optionally, help you to detect grammar mistakes and plagiarism. To check word count, simply place your cursor into the text box above and start typing. You'll see the number of characters and words increase or decrease as you type, delete, and edit them. You can also copy and paste text from another program over into the online editor above. The Auto-Save feature will make sure you won't lose any changes while editing, even if you leave the site and come back later. Tip: Bookmark this page now.

Knowing the word count of a text can be important. For example, if an author has to write a minimum or maximum amount of words for an article, essay, report, story, book, paper, you name it. WordCounter will help to make sure its word count reaches a specific requirement or stays within a certain limit.

You can also format the display of text boxes in a report. For example, once you place a text box, you can move or resize the text box, specify horizontal and vertical positions for the text box, and place a border around the text box.

Text within a text box is broken down into text blocks. As you enter text, every time you press Enter, you create a new text block. Each text block can be formatted differently. For example, the title of a report can have a large font size, and the subtitle can have a smaller font size. You do not need to create new text boxes for each block of text. Click to view the text blocks in your text object.

If you are pasting content from Microsoft Word or HTML, an attempt is made to maintain as much formatting information as possible based on the currently supported feature set in text boxes. Currently, all these formatted text includes bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript, subscript, foreground color, background color, font family, font size, and horizontal alignment. Any other features such as tables, lists and images will be removed.

Due to how Microsoft duplicates text boxes, the old copy can still be detected even when replaced with new writing. This can cause our system to pick up on this and incorrectly flags it as an attempt to hide text within the document. As always with Academic Integrity issues, we'd recommend investigating all Flags equally before making a judgement on if an intentional attempt to subvert the similarity detection of a report has occurred.

6. Remove the text borders from the month and year text boxes by holding down the shift key and selecting both. Under the Shape Format tab, select Shape Outline > No Outline

Using Microsoft Word, you can resize not only pictures, but also text boxes, WordArt, and boxes. If you want, you can also remove unwanted portions of the picture by cropping it. Today, however, we will talk about how to resize a picture in Word.

This will change the language of all placeholder elements in your presentation. These include elements that have been defined in your slide master, e.g., tagline placeholders, text placeholders, content placeholders, etc. Unfortunately, any text boxes, shapes, or other elements, that have been added to the presentation and are not present in the slidemaster used will not be affected. In this case you need to change the language of each slide as described above or use an addin such as Ampler for PowerPoint which automatically sets the language across the entire presentation.

If your preferred display language is not available in PowerPoint, you can download and install it from the Microsoft Office support page. This is also the case if you change the text language of a PowerPoint presentation and the spelling and grammar check does not seem to work (you will not get an error message if your language is not installed). Just follow these steps to add a new display or proofing language:
