You need this product key to install Office 2010. If you never redeemed the alpha-numeric PIN and don't have a product key, you won't be able to complete the installation and activation. If you do have the key and need install help, see Install Office 2010 and Activate Office 2010.
The problem you're having is that Office is unable to verify the license. The error message indicates Office 2010. Office 2010 is no longer supported. If you're using a product key then it shouldn't have to do anything and in theory should continue to work once installed assuming you entered the product key at installation (or first use). However newer Office versions call home periodically and if they fail to do so for a while then they lock you out until they can, for security reasons. In this case you generally can go to the Help section and find an option to check for an updated license which will refresh it. However I don't know that Office 2010 had that functionality and even if it did I wouldn't expect it to validate anymore because it is no longer supported.
25 Character Product Key For Microsoft Office 2010
Given that you posted your product key online and Office 2010 is no longer supported anyway I'd lean toward recommending you get an updated version of Office. Your school should offer you a free license as a teacher otherwise you can go to MS's Office for Education site and get a free copy of Office 365 through your edu account. MS will verify you're a faculty member or student and give you a free copy.
Sometimes a Microsoft product key shown in Belarc software doesn't match the key on the Microsoft sticker, or only shows a few characters of the key. One common cause of this is that the software was pre-installed by the computer manufacturer and your personal product key was sent on a separate card or sticker. Computer manufacturers often use their product key, instead of yours, when pre-installing software at the factory so that's the key you're seeing. Another common cause is that recent Office installers remove all but the last five characters of the install product key once the installation completes. To change the product key currently on your computer (and reported by Belarc) to your full personal key, you can follow the steps outlined below.
Purchasers of Office 2013 and later usually receive only a Product Key Card and instructions to download office from the office.com web site. The 25 character key on that Product Key Card is not your office install key, but instead an entitlement key allowing you to install office from that web site.
You can see the product key that is used to install office by signing into your office.com account. Once signed in, just click the View product key link under your edition of Office and you'll see your office product key.
Activating your Office 2010 is what makes you be able to utilize the software to its fullest. If you decided not to activate after installing, you can always activate from any Office 2010 product by navigating to File, Help, then Activate Product Key.

I'm trying to determine what Office 2010 product is installed on a PC. The ospp.vbs utility shows three SKUs with OfficeProPlus-MAK edition as the one being licensed. It shows the last 5 digits of the product key to be JRJD8. However when I use a third part utility (either ProduKey or LicenseCrawler) to extract the product key from the registry, it shows the product key to be VYBBJ-TRJPB-QFQRF-QFT4D-H3GVB. That is the publicly available KMS GVLK for Office Professional Plus 2010. I'm not sure why the registry contains the KMS GVLK but ospp.vbs shows Office to be activated with a different MAK key. And neither utility is extracting a key ending in JRJD8. Just looking for some insight into what's going on as I'm not intimately familiar with MAK/KMS activation.
I am not familiar with the third-party application you used for product key information. Generally, to determine if Office 2010 is activated with MAK or KMS, you can check the command results you shared:
SKU ID: fdf3ecb9-b56f-43b2-a9b8-1b48b6bae1a7LICENSE NAME: Office 14, OfficeProPlus-MAK editionLICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 14, RETAIL channelLICENSE STATUS: ---LICENSED---ERROR CODE: 0 as licensedLast 5 characters of installed product key: JRJD8
In client side event though the Registry settings, we cannot retrieve the complete KMS or MAK key information. Only the last 5 characters of installed product key can be returned. Please refer to the ospp.vbs script results for detailed information.
I need some advice. Will the VAMT tool be able to recognize Office 2010, running under xp sp3?. Also I have not had any success with the VAMT tool be able to pick up the product info of my xp clients. All that is listed in the VAMT tool is unknown client under product information . What do I have to do to be able to make the vamt tool read the product info of an xp client.
4. If you previously used a MAK key to activate or tried another key for some reason you can reinstall the KMS client key by typing "cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" (where Xs are the 25 character KMS client key for your specific office version. The keys are listed here -us/library/ee624355.aspx#section2-3) Then perform step 3 again to complete kms activation.
For The Office 2010 piece of kms host. I have done the following.1. I installed the office 2010 volume license pack host utility from Microsoft and entered the kms key for office when it asked2.On the client computer open an elevated command prompt and type "cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:" This will identify the KMS host to your client.3.To activate the client manually type "cscript ospp.vbs /act" and as long as the default KMS client key is still installed this will activate your client using your KMS host. I get the message kms server doesn't meet the minimum requirements message... This is normal I am aware.5. After step 4, on the server I type in the following command in an elevated command prompt on the server cscript slvmgr.vbs /dlv and the client requests are still at 0?. I have learned that for Office 2010 there is a minimum of 5 clients required and a minimum of 25 Windows 7 clients required. Shouldn't have the client count at least changed from 0 to 1?. I don't know why the client count requests didn't change from 0 to 1??. Please advice.6. The installs on my master image of Office 2010 and Windows 7 have been registered using a MAK Key, so must I entered in a kms key on the clients for Office 2010, and Windows 7 for the kms server happy? Thanks for all your guidance. You've been a big help
1. Install the kms office 2010 license host on my windows 2008 r2 server, and open up the appropriate ports on the firewall, also entered a kms volume key for office 2010 when prompted to. All these steps done without issue on the kms server
"Does anyone know where can I find the office 2010 product key? Cause I need to reinstall a Dell Computer and I am without the serial key of the Office, so have a lot of keys with me but I am afraid to install a key what is already installed in another computer of our company."
Have you got the same questions as the cause is shown? When we install Microsoft Office 2010 on the computer, honestly, we don't mention saving product key to an easy-to-find place in case of reusing. But how to find a serial number already installed for a long time? Here you can get 4 quick ways to find Office 2010 product key. Pick the manual or automatic to recover the forgotten program key.
Once it is installed on the computer, the forgotten product key can be found with the command prompt. But you need to figure out the bitness -- 32-bit or 64-bit of Office. Check your office version first.
No need to apply many steps or rummage through a box or sticker, we recommend using EaseUS Key Finder to easily retrieve the Microsoft Office 2010. Free download the software and you'll see the salient "Product Key" feature on the left panel, which use to export and save Office, Windows, Adobe product keys in two steps.
In this article, the MS office product key can be found in 5 ways. For my advice, EaseUS Key Finder and CMD are reliable options with easy steps. If you are worried about which methods to choose from, try both two ways.
Office 2010 and Office 2013 do not store their product keys in an easily accessible location in the registry file and many third party programs cannot scan for them. However, you can use a script to find the last five digits of the product key. 2ff7e9595c
